The Farm

Peacham Greens is a small hilltown farm tucked beyond the village of Peacham in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. We’re just getting started and are growing fresh market vegetables on a small scale, guided by no-till and regenerative practices that nurture living soil and support biodiversity.

We farm organically with a biodynamic spirit, letting things stay wild and scrappy more often than not, and working with natural cycles to cultivate crops slowly and respectfully by hand. We grow a wide range of market garden vegetables, along with small amounts of fruit, culinary herbs, and microgreens. Peacham Greens also offers seedlings and seed garlic. Our goal is to grow vegetables that are flavorful, nutritious, and close to home.

We believe small farms play an important role in healthy communities. We aim to grow food in ways that care for the land, support our neighbors, and make fresh, local produce more accessible to the people around us.

This land has a long history. It was once part of the seasonal hunting and foraging grounds of the Western Abenaki people. In the 19th century, it was homesteaded by Civil War soldier Ethan Miner, who returned from war to trade his gun for a plow and milk pail. We took stewardship of this land in 2023 and began establishing Peacham Greens as a working farm in 2025. The land brings together open fields, areas of prime soil, an antique apple orchard, berry patches, foraging areas, vegetable and herb plots, and a mix of forest and water that supports a healthy farm ecosystem. Along the edge of the farm, Willow Brook provides habitat for native Vermont brook trout, and a small pond rests on the north side of the land.
